To whom it my concern: Article Mr. Bianchi very impotant and very topical. There is absolutly nothing in basketball officiating which contributes more to success-- or to failure--than the ability of the crew to work together.Officials who operate as a team to: see the same game; know where their partners are; trust the partners; and COMMUNICATE,will work a good game every time. The modern game does not require three(or two) referees to handle the game; instead it requires one team of referees. The pre-game conference should help develop this teamwork. Also, I think we need a clinic for local and FIMBA referees together before each Championship. Sincerely, Vladi Eliseev (USA).

EN PUERTO RICO EL BALONCESTO FEMENINO Y MASCULINO EN FESTIVAL MASTERS CONCLUYE EXITOSAMENTE. El equipo de Baloncesto Maxi Femenino Banco Popular, comandado por la Dirigente María de Lourdes “Luly” López resultó victorioso en el campeonato que celebró el Departamento de Recreación y Deportes, como parte del Festival Master, que se llevó a cabo en el Complejo Deportivo Guillermo Angulo. Se coronó el equipo compuesto por Lysette Santiago, Carmen Meléndez, a quien se le dedicó el evento, Maria “Cucusa” Lacen, Sylvia Quintero, Migdalia Seguí, Ludy Blanco, Sabrina González, Ileana Valentín, Ana Carmona, y asistente Pedro Salgado. El juego de campeonato finalizó 68 a 57 siendo las mejores anotadoras Sabrina González con 18 y Migdalia Seguí con 16, por el equipo de Caparra Heights de Glenda Rivera y dirigido por Edgar Padilla, la mejor anotadora fue Brenda Andino con 21 puntos. El juego del sábado finalizó 62 a 56 siendo las mejores anotadoras Migdalia Seguí y Cucusa Lacen
